Some more pictures
I have had some requests to post more pictures. It is hard to find the time to get on line now with this little guy in my life. But alas, he is asleep for the moment.
Here is B during his first bath. He is 9lbs. 3 oz. now. He didn't really enjoy the bath as you can see from his face.
Here is his Grandpa Anderson. B got his middle name from his grandpa (Brian.)
Here is his Grandma Anderson. She made him that blanket.
E turned 8 on October 15. She is getting baptized this Saturday

He is finally here!
My little boy is finally here! He was born on Sunday, October 5 at 1:26 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and we named him Benjamin Brian Anderson. Brian is Jeff's dad's name. Isn't he so sweet?! I am in love!
Getting him here wasn't easy. I was feeling contractions for three days straight off and on. Sometimes they were consistent and painful but not close enough to go to the hospital. And other times they were light contractions. But finally on Saturday night at about 5p.m., the contractions started coming 5 minutes apart for a couple of hours. I had to call Jeff who was at the priesthood session to come home and get me to take me to the hospital. We went at about 7:30. They admitted me and I was in labor through the night and into the morning. When I was finally dilated to a ten, I pushed for an hour and half. When the doctor finally got there and they could see the head, they figured out that his head was turned to the side and his big burly shoulders couldn't fit. So the doctor decided to do an emergency C-section. So after 18 hours of labor and an hour and half of pushing, I thought I was going to die when he decided to do a C-section. So they rushed me to the operating room and did the surgery. Jeff said that the second Benjamin poked his head out of my uterus, he started to cry. I heard the crying but I couldn't see him because they had it blocked so I couldn't see the surgery process. They let me look at him for like 20 seconds then they rushed him to do all of the baby testing on him. Then while they were stitching me up, they brought him back to me for like 30 seconds and let me look at him again and told me they were taking him to the ICU because he was having trouble breathing and he was very low on fluids in his body. So I sent Jeff with him and I went through the recovery process with Jeff coming to me every now and then to check on me. Then FOUR HOURS later, they brought my baby to me and I finally got to hold him. What a day!
I came home yesterday from the hospital and I'm recovering slowly from almost giving birth and having a C-section. Benjamin is so sweet. He is a wonderful nurser and a good sleeper so far and we are enjoying him so much. Here are a few more pictures:
This was the first time I got to hold him.

Patience
My theme for life is "Patience." I had to wait 30 years to meet my dear husband and then I had to wait 3 and half years to get pregnant. And now I have waited 6 days (and counting) past my due date to have my little baby boy. I went to the doctor yesterday and there has been no change in my body to indicate that it is time for this baby to come out. So we are waiting a bit longer and if nothing has happened by this Sunday, they are going to induce me on Sunday night. So there should be a little Anderson boy born by Monday!!!! Yeah!!!!!

Still no baby
For those of you who haven't heard, I didn't have my baby on Monday. My doctor made it seem like it was totally going to happen. So I went in to see him on Sunday night and then I get a call from the hospital at 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning asking me when I could come in to be induced and I made an appointment for two hours later at 7:30 but then they called at 7 a.m. and said that my doctor told them he didn't think my body was ready yet to be induced yet. Oh man! Why the heck did he make me feel like it was totally going to happen on Monday. I told everyone I could possibly tell that I was giving birth on Monday. So I'm back to waiting. I have felt minor contractions off and on for several days now but nothing consistent. My due date is in two days. My parents are here with me hanging out and it is so nice to have them here to take my mind off the waiting. That is the scoop. I hope to have exciting news to share shortly.

Baby names
We can not come to a decision for our baby's names. It was "Jack" for a long time and then it switched to "Josh" but we are undecided once again. I'm curious to see what the favorite is, so I have added a poll to the right for you to vote.
My doctor is going to be out of town for 5 days around my due date (26th) so he gave me the option of getting induced on Monday, the 22nd and of course I jumped at the opportunity because I'm too excited to meet this little guy I have been carrying around inside of me for 8 months and 2 1/2 weeks.

Jeff's bike race
On Saturday Jeff rode in a bike race. It was part the "Tour of Utah" which is similar to the Tour de France but it takes place all over Utah in a 5 day period. The professional bike racers come from around the world to compete in this race. Jeff heard about a local group that were sponsoring a 1-day bike race of one stage of the race to take place on the same course as the professionals but it was starting four hours earlier than the pros. It started in Park City and finished at Snowbird with about 15,000 feet of vertical climbing in about 98 miles.
Jeff left at 6:20 a.m. on the bike race and he was riding with his buddy, Eric. At about 30 miles into the race, Eric had a bad crash and broke his bike and scraped up his legs and arms pretty bad. Jeff said Eric is a great crasher and knows how to crash and the people that saw Eric's crash were amazed he didn't break any bones. So Eric had to be taken back to the starting line in Park City and get patched up. So meanwhile, Erica and I were back at the hotel in Park City getting ready to go for the day when we get a call from Eric telling us about his crash. He left some of his stuff in our car so we went to the start line to give him his stuff and we got to see all of the professional riders start. Maybe I've been around Jeff long enough or it is just in blood but it was so exciting to be amongst all of the professional teams and watch them take off. I had to take a few pictures.

Here goes the pros.
After we saw the professionals take off, Erica and I drove to Snowbird. I couldn't believe the six-mile climb from SLC to Snowbird. It was so steep and that was only a tiny part of what they were doing that day. It was a very nice day and the temperature was at about 60 to 70 degrees. So Erica and I hung out at the finish line and ate our sandwiches, fruit and chips and read books and enjoyed the beautiful mountains up at Snowbird.
Here are Jeff's biggest fans waiting by the finish line.
Here are the commentators giving us updates on the pros.

Here comes Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!
He is amazing!!
After Jeff finished, we stuck around to watch the professionals come through. Below is the winner. He won $14,000. He did it in a little over 4 hours.
