Teeth, Yogurt, Ducks and My Sister’s Move

 

These are a few things we have been up to lately:

Growing teeth.  She even has more teeth than this now….seven actually.  This was taken at the beginning of June.

We love this yogurt.  It is super healthy for you and we add it to so many things now.  Like smoothies, home-made salad dressings, baked potatoes, taco salad.  The honey one is to die for!

Saying good-bye to my sister and her family.  Leah moved to Layton about three  and a half years ago and I was so excited to have her close.  In those three and half years we gave birth to these four children.

Now she is on her way to live in South Carolina for six months and then they are going to live in the Chicago area after that for another three to five years.   Oh, I am going to miss her and her family. 

This is my last sighting of her as I looked out my car window to drive away from her house a few days before she moved. Except I forgot my purse at her house so I had to go back and get it.  Love you Leah!

April 30th Snowman

There was snow on the ground when we woke up on Saturday.  So a snowman was made. 

There hasn’t been the perfect time to make one this winter season.  It always seemed too cold to send my kids out there.  Or it snowed when daddy has to go to work and mommy doesn’t want to build one.  So when they woke up on Saturday morning, they knew it had to be done.  

But a few hours later in the afternoon it looked like this.  I love seeing the green grass and the tulips in the background.

Then Sunday afternoon, it looked very freaky.  The kids weren’t happy that I was making them take a picture with it.

Hiking Cuteness

Just look at that adorable picture.  That is my sister and her family.  She has always been the most photogenic beautiful person.  They took this a few weeks ago when they were in Moab and I think it is the cutest picture EVER! 

We decided to hike to the “Y” here in Provo last Saturday and I thought to myself…..”I want to take an adorable family picture out in nature like Leah did.” 

Well, we tried and this was our result…

It just doesn’t come close to the cuteness of Leah’s photo.   This was our best shot.  We even all tried to wear cute hats like Leah’s family but it didn’t work.  I guess I didn’t take into account that we would all totally look exhausted from hiking up a mountain.  Oh well.

But look at this cuteness……..

She loved hiking.  Most of the time she was smiling and giggling as we hiked except for when she fell asleep near the top.  When Jeff hiked faster she got more giggly.  It was so cute.  I tried to get some action shots of the smiling.

Here is Jeff with  32 pounds on his shoulder and 17 pounds on his front.  He hiked like this most of the way. 

Balance

Jeff has a balancing trick that he likes to do with his babies.  Lizzie can do it.

Erica could do it too.

But Ben was too chicken.  Girls rule.

This is the first official smile caught on camera by her daddy while I was out Christmas shopping yesterday.

(The bonnet is from Carrilyne and is soooooo cute on her.)

The Month of October

The month of October has been a busy one for us.  We got this beautiful creature on the 3rd.

This sweetie got the sister she has always wanted.

This boy turned 2.

She turned 10.

We watch intently everyday to see how this cutie pie changes.

We celebrated Halloween.

Life is good.
